Dad, what's the point?

This falls under the category of yet more data that my son is a Savant...

A few days ago Meredith was watching television... Seinfeld, to be exact, when Hays walked through the room. He apparently paused for a second and stared at the TV as he was passing.

Hays: "You sure like this, don't you mom?"
(He's always affirming other people's opinions based on his observation of them.)

Mom: "Yes, I do."

Hays: "What is the point of Seinfeld, mom?"

Mom: "..."

Then last night at dinner, he spoke up again, "I think Seinfeld is about regular friends doing regular things."
