Meredith and I got nice, new phones from T-Mobile this past weekend. We have been released from the evil clutches of Suckular (formerly CrapT&T).
No, I'm not bitter -- why? Was it because the very expensive phone I bought was so overhyped by the salesperson that it couldn't help but be a letdown? Was it because the reception near my office is so poor and the antenna is so small, that I can't use the phone indoors? Was the horrible customer service?
Nope.
The fact is, we needed new phones. Mine had a battery life of approximately 43 nanoseconds and Mer's didn't have a functioning #6 -- which is okay until you want to actually
call somebody.
We ditched Mer's pay-per-use plan and signed up for one of those "family plans" that has a gazillion night/weekend minutes and unlimited mobile-To-Mobile minutes and all that jazz...
But mostly, I like the fact that I have a Nokia phone again. Small, sturdy, with a solid battery that'll last more than a day on standby.
My only complaint is that it doesn't perform a native sync with iSync/iCal/Address Book. That's okay though, since we've already bought DataPilot which should allow full integration, including downloading and uploading movies and images (whee). Maybe I'll upload a photo from the phone in a little while...
